Job Title: Senior SAP ERP Consultant
Location: Remote. Occasional on-site support required in Washington, DC and/or other designated locations, as needed
Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior SAP ERP Consultant to provide hands-on, senior-level support for a federal SAP ERP environment supporting manufacturing, supply chain, and financial operations. This role requires deep SAP ERP expertise, strong functional and technical knowledge, and experience working in regulated or federal environments.
The consultant will act as a subject matter expert (SME), supporting SAP configuration, integrations, system upgrades, troubleshooting, and user training. This is a senior, hands-on role and is not intended for junior analysts, pure developers, or project managers without SAP system expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on configuration, support, and optimization of SAP ERP modules including Financial Accounting (FI), Materials Management (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), and Production Planning (PP)
- Support SAP S/4HANA environments, including upgrades, support packs, enhancements, and post-upgrade testing and validation
- Configure, support, and troubleshoot SAP integrations and interfaces with third-party and external systems
- Support federal financial processes, including G-Invoicing and related SAP financial integrations
- Troubleshoot SAP ERP production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with functional, technical, and project management teams to support ERP operations and initiatives
- Assist ERP project management efforts, including task coordination, schedule tracking, and awareness of cost impacts
- Develop and deliver user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to government staff and junior resources
- Ensure compliance with federal security, operational, and regulatory requirements in a controlled environment
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated hands-on experience configuring and supporting SAP ERP in a production environment
- Strong multi-module SAP expertise across FI, MM, SD, and PP
- Experience supporting SAP integrations, interfaces, and data exchanges
- Experience supporting or working with SAP S/4HANA environments, upgrades, or support packs
- Experience working with federal financial systems; G-Invoicing experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex SAP ERP issues and support system stability
- Experience working in regulated, secure, or compliance-driven environments1
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as a senior SAP SME.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting SAP in federal civilian agencies
- Experience supporting manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain operations
- SAP certifications (ERP, S/4HANA, FI/MM/SD/PP)
- Experience mentoring junior SAP resources or supporting knowledge transfer initiatives
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Security & Eligibility Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
