Program Manager – 2607

Location: Washington, DC metro area (hybrid/remote considered)

About the Role

We’re looking for a Program Manager to lead delivery of a data management services engagement for a federal government client. You’ll own the schedule, risk register, and stakeholder communication across a multi-workstream data program, coordinating technical, operational, and governance teams and representing the program to client leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain an Integrated Master Schedule covering milestones, dependencies, and critical-path activities
  • Run recurring status reviews summarizing accomplishments, risks, issues, actions, and upcoming priorities
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings for client leadership and stakeholders
  • Maintain a continuously updated risk, issue, and action-tracking register
  • Coordinate planning across multiple workstreams, ensuring consistent communication between technical, operational, and governance teams
  • Plan, execute, and review work in two-week agile sprints, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Maintain agile artifacts (product backlogs, sprint backlogs, burndown charts) to track progress
  • Prepare and submit monthly status reports and own the program’s quality assurance plan
  • Lead project kickoff and coordinate onboarding logistics with the client

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience managing IT or data services engagements in a government or other regulated environment, including work with client stakeholders and structured deliverables
  • Experience delivering work under SLAs with documented quality controls and formal acceptance processes
  • Proven ability to run agile delivery (sprint planning, backlogs, retrospectives) for technical teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience producing executive-level briefings and status reporting
  • Experience overseeing data engineering, cloud (AWS), or database services engagements preferred

Preferred Certifications

  • PMP or PMI-ACP
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect – Associate

Additional Requirements

Must be able to pass a federal background investigation prior to starting work and maintain eligibility throughout the engagement.
