Location: Remote (DC/VA/MD area preferred)
Position Description:
Supports maintenance, enhancement and modernization of complex Federal enterprise applications. Responsible for designing, developing, testing and implementing Java application code in an Agile Scrum environment. Troubleshoots complex problems in the development environment. Collaborates with multi-site team to identify, resolve and test solutions to issues with new modules. Optimizes and performance tunes developed code.
Skills and Abilities
- Full-stack Drupal development experience including:
- Hooks
- Custom module development
- Drupal services
- Views configuration and customization
- Theme development (Twig, libraries, preprocess functions)
- Hands-on experience with Drupal 9, Drupal 10, and Drupal 11.
- Strong understanding of 508/WCAG accessibility compliance for federal or public-facing web applications.
- Experience with Drupal content migrations, including automated migrations and data mapping.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and experience in build/deployment pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Ability to diagnose and optimize performance issues within Drupal and its ecosystem.
- Familiarity with PHP, Composer, Symfony components, and modern front-end tools (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, another related discipline, or equivalent work experience in the software development field will be considered
- 5+ years of object-oriented development experience
- 3+ years of hands-on, strong Java development experience
- 3+ years of experience with database technologies
- Strong proficiency in Angular 15+ framework
- Experience with SpingBoot and Hybernate
- Experience with Agile development and AWS Cloud environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud hosting platforms such as AWS.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other API integrations.
- Background in government, enterprise, or large-scale Drupal implementations.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks for Drupal.
Security & Eligibility Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
- Candidate must have lived in the United States for at least 3 years
