Job Title : Data Modeler / Database Analyst
Work type: Remote
Description:
Data Modeler / Database Analyst with strong experience in data analysis, design, and data modeling.
Required Skills:
- Experience with data modeling, database reverse engineering, data profiling, and analysis of legacy database designs, including stored procedures and triggers
- Experience developing and maintaining logical and physical data models in accordance with established standards, including version management
- Strong understanding of SQL with the ability to write and execute queries for data analysis
- Basic understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques
- Ability to support deployment of database changes as needed
- Ability to create and maintain documentation related to data architecture, database standards, and data flows using tools such as Visio, PowerPoint, and others
- Ability to enforce and rationalize data standards, and provide guidance to application teams as needed
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with application teams and independently within a team environment
Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of data modeling tools such as ER/Studio or ERwin
- Experience with hybrid AWS cloud environments and cloud database migrations
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Experience with GitHub
- Experience with Sybase databases
- Experience using Jira and Confluence
